Volleyball England Elected Board Director

Volleyball England is seeking to appoint a new Elected Director to its Board to help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives. 

The role is being filled following the previous incumbent’s completion of a maximum term of eight years in the post. 

Volleyball England wants to develop a Board from a diverse group of people with a wide range of skills, experience, and knowledge. For this role, people with skills in marketing, digital and understanding of system partner/Sport England ways of working are particularly sought. 

Prior experience is always welcome but it is not essential. More important is committed individuals that share the organisation’s vision and passion for sport at all levels.   

Volleyball England welcomes applications from people from all backgrounds that meet the person specification and have relevant experience, but is encouraging interest from underrepresented groups on the board, which currently includes those from ethnically diverse communities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and people with disabilities.

Applications should be submitted no later than Sunday 1st June, with virtual interviews being conducted in the week commencing 9th June.  

An Elected Director must verify that they are an affiliated individual in line with Volleyball England’s Articles of Association. It is generally asked that Elected Directors have excellent volleyball knowledge and commitment to development and success of the sport. Under the Articles of Association, to be eligible as a Director, the application must be 18 years or older.    

All applicants will be interviewed by the Nominations Committee of Volleyball England which is required to operate a competence-based recruitment process.  

It will make recommendations to the Board and, in respect of Elected Directors, subsequently to the AGM on the candidates which have the skills and capabilities needed by the organisation in the next stage of its journey. 

Stockport Volleyball Club Coaches

Stockport Volleyball Club is seeking coaches in the following roles for the 2025-26 season, Men’s Division 1 North, NVL, Women’s Division 1 North, NVL, Junior Boys U15 and U16, Juniors Girls U15 and U16.

Successful candidates will be expected to commit to attending Volleyball England home and away competitions, leading two practice sessions per week, participating in periodic coach meetings, and engaging in club activities such as socials, the End of Year Awards Party, and more.

Each coach will be supported by a dedicated Team Secretary, who will assist with the day-to-day operations of the team.

Please note: Candidates must have the following qualifications: a Volleyball England Assistant Coach Award (Level 1) or equivalent experience, an active DBS check, and safeguarding course certification.

An honorarium and coach apparel will be provided

Talent Working Group Lead

If you're passionate about volleyball and want to play a key role in growing the game, Volleyball England wants to hear from you. 

The Talent Working Group Lead role, which is key to the delivery of certain projects around The Game Plan strategy, is open for appointment. 

The delivery lead, which is a voluntary position, will lead and develop their own Working Group and also report into a Sub-group.
