Super League and NVL Preview 2nd and 3rd November
In the MAAREE Women’s Super League, Team SideOut Polonia (who have a bye in the National Cup) will host Cambridge ARU on Saturday, looking to continue their unbeaten run in their bid for Super League success.
Cambridge started strongly with an Opening Weekend 3-0 victory over Lionhearts but have since lost both of their matches. Looking to bounce back, they will come out of the blocks fast against Polonia.
Durham Palatinates will look to rebuild after last weekend's loss to the University of Nottingham when they host Lionhearts Vinarius.
Lionhearts will then travel to Leeds Gorse on Sunday, with Leeds only one point ahead after both teams have played two matches.
After a 3-1 victory last week over Leicester Athena Phoenix in their opening match of Women's Division 1, Stockport are looking to carry this momentum into the weekend with their matchup against Newcastle Knights, who get their season underway with two matches this weekend.
Knights travel to Stockport on Saturday before hosting London Giants on Sunday. Giants have had a week to recover from their 3-0 victory over Coventry and Warwick Riga and will look to get their tally of points to six over the weekend.
However, it will be a tricky challenge against the Knights, who went unbeaten last season.
Riga will look to climb the table, as they currently sit sixth after playing four matches. They travel to Southampton, who will be in search of their first win of the season after losing 3-0 in their opener against Everton Belugas.
Division 2 East only has one match, between Onyx London and Norwich Spikers. Onyx are looking to claim all three points this weekend after having to settle for only one when they narrowly missed out in a 3-2 thriller against Richmond last time out.
Division 3 South West has a triangular between Plymouth, Plymouth UTV, and Southampton 2. Plymouth get their season underway, with UTV and Southampton 2 both sitting on the same record of one win and one loss.
There is only one match in the Dynamik Men’s Super League, with Newcastle Knights hosting London Giants.
Giants are hot off a double victory from last weekend, but Knights will be looking to put a bump in the road and break that momentum.
For Newcastle, this will be only their second match, having taken Malory Eagles to five sets on Opening Weekend, but Coach Sam Shenton will be looking to go one better and claim all three points from their first home match of the season.
Non-stop weekends of volleyball for London Aces, who are playing their fourth week in a row of Division One volleyball, this week hosting Black Country.
After a narrow defeat to Bristol two weeks ago, but winning the return leg, Aces now sit second behind Leeds Gorse, who have won all six of their matches this season.
Black Country are two wins from three but can go level on points with Aces and keep a game in hand if they are successful in the capital this weekend.
Another battle in the capital sees London Baks host Cambridge in the return leg of last week's 3-2 victory for Baks.
Rhinos Volleyball Cambridge and Newmarket are keeping the action going for Division 2 Central as the only match taking place across the whole of Division 2. Rhinos are looking to carry on winning ways after taking three points from Norwich Spikers last weekend.
Newmarket are also coming off the back of a 3-1 victory, so this game looks to be a thriller on paper.
Everton Dugongs host a triangular, with Manchester Moss Side and Sheffield Springers travelling to the Merseyside team.
Springers and Moss Side are second and third respectively, with both having played two matches. Dugongs get their season underway this weekend and could shoot to second, depending on set scores.
