Job role - Performance Beach Coach

Are you a talented coach who could help the nation’s top beach volleyball players take the next steps in their bid to qualify for the LA 2028 Olympics?

Volleyball England and the British Volleyball Federation (BVF) are seeking to appoint a Performance Beach Coach to deliver technical expertise to beach volleyball athletes at the top end of the performance programme. 

The role will prioritise support for national team athletes, as directed by the Volleyball England Beach Performance Director and the British Volleyball Federation (BVF) Performance Manager. 

Key responsibilities include developing, planning and delivering a training and competition programme, collaborating with athletes and other staff across the beach performance programme and talent development pathway and assuming responsibility for training and competitions. 

The successful candidate will also be expected to create and maintain a high-performance environment, lead and support performance evaluation, support policymaking and selection processes and become a member of the performance management team. 

They will have a proven track record of developing beach volleyball athletes to achieve international success, an ability to coach under pressure in a high-level domestic or international setting, have a Coaching qualification at Volleyball England Level 2 or equivalent and a minimum of four years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a high-performance beach volleyball set-up or national federation programme. 
 
The full-time role covers the next Olympic cycle (until March 2029, dependent on ongoing funding from FIVB Empowerment Fund and the British Volleyball Federation).
